Course Overview

The Fellowship in Contact Lens is a rigorous clinical program designed to provide hands-on experience in contact lens fitting at both basic and advanced levels. This program offers practical exposure and in-depth training in the specialized field of contact lenses.

Course Objective:

  • Explore the relationship between the cornea and contact lenses
  • Conduct comprehensive contact lens evaluations
  • Select the appropriate lens for each patient’s needs
  • Manage troubleshooting during contact lens fitting
  • Enhance safe and standard practices in contact lens fitting with a focus on scientific principles
  • Develop problem-solving skills to address emerging trends and challenges in contact lens practice
  • Make informed referrals when necessary

Course Details

Eligibility:Undergraduate Degree in Optometry with at least 1 year of experience in Optometric practice

Number of Seats: 6 per year

Duration: 6 months (Full-time with regular clinical postings in Contact Lens clinics at SN and its branch hospitals in Chennai)

Course Fee: Indian Students: INR 60,000/- +18% GST for 6 months, International Students: USD 1200

Frequency: Twice a year (January and July)
